Why A Pillar To Post Inspection?
In an industry dominated by part-time inspectors, we are a professional company dedicated to our clients – home inspection is our full-time business! We’ve been in business since 2005 and perform hundreds of home inspections throughout central Indiana every year.

We promise our full attention during the inspection and will give you a straightforward, fact-based analysis of your new home. We’re here to help and are available as an ongoing reference at any time during your home ownership!

If you are selling your house, we look at it as a prospective buyer would, and help you address any issues that may arise and jeopardize a deal.  We want you to be prepared with in-depth knowledge of your house before you list.

What is included in a Pillar To Post Inspection?
We schedule about 3 hours for the inspection of an average size house.  While we inspect everything, we really focus on the major components and systems of the house – the expensive stuff!  We will access all areas of the home including roofs, attics, and especially basements and crawlspaces. We inspect the electrical, plumbing and heating/cooling systems. We inspect kitchens, bathrooms and all other living spaces.  All of these services are included in your inspection – we don’t charge extra, even for that dark, wet crawlspace!

Please note that some specialized systems and components may not be inspected, such as pools, hot tubs, sprinklers, or entertainment sound systems.

We offer many other services including termite, radon, mold, well water, and septic testing. We can also de-winterize and re-winterize bank-owned or HUD properties for you.

We strongly encourage you to attend the inspection!
We want to include you in the inspection process, which provides excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the home you are buying or selling. During the inspection, we will point out and discuss both the positive aspects of the property as well as any areas of concern, and provide you with a detailed, unbiased report of our findings. We are there to answer all your questions so you can buy or sell with confidence.

Most Professional Inspectors in the Industry
Not all inspectors are the same, but you can be confident that every Pillar To Post inspector is among the best in the business!  Our inspectors are certified with Pillar To Post and the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI). Their initial training includes over 80 hours of classroom instruction, and at least 160 apprentice hours in the field, making them the most technically trained inspectors in the industry. Our on-going training surpasses industry standards and approaches 60 hours each year in both older and new, changing areas of building and technology. Our inspectors are experienced in all ages and types of homes, from the smallest urban bungalow to large country estates. Learn more about our inspectors on the Inspector Certification tab of this web site.

Your Home Inspection Report
We don’t make you wait! Your Pillar To Post inspection report is generated and printed directly on site at the conclusion of the inspection and will also be emailed to you the same day. The report is easy to read and understand, and will assist you in understanding your new home, now and in the future. The computerized report includes an evaluation of more than 1,600 items.  Since pictures speak louder than words, we include large, annotated color photographs in the body of the report. Most importantly, we summarize all our major findings on the first page of the report, making it easier for you to formulate your inspection response.

As a Pillar To Post client, your inspection binder includes many exclusive extras, including access to the Living with My Home web site, which assists you with managing and maintaining your new home, and special discounts and promotions only available to our clients through our Home Alliance Program. Our HAP partners include companies such as Sears, Certa-Pro Painters, California Closets, PODS, and many others.  Utilizing any of these discounts can easily offset your inspection fees!
